About the Job - Preschool Teacher

High Five Kids International School in Nakayama Sakuradai, Takarazuka, Hyogo is looking for an encouraging, compassionate, and creative teacher who loves to work with toddlers (18 months - 24 months & 24 months - 36 months +). This is an hourly, Full-Time (40 hours a week, Monday-Friday) position.

We are looking for someone to join our Toddler Program with

At least 1 year of classroom experience working with toddler aged children (18 months - 36 months).
At least 1 year of experience supervising or leading another Teacher/Asst. Teacher/Teacher's Aide (preferred).

In this position, the ideal candidate will -

Create, plan and implement appropriate developmental experiences and curriculum for toddler-aged children.

Partner with classroom staff to plan and implement the daily program of activities based on principles of child development and in accordance with the program's curriculum.

Work with multiple children independently and collaboratively with staff.

Communicate with families to

Effectively and build trusting relationships with parents as you partner with them in caring for their children.

Ensure they understand the curriculum and find ways to involve parents in the daily program so learning can continue and flow between home and school.

Be familiar with diverse cultures and open to a variety of parenting styles.

Observe each child daily to assess skills, interests and needs and use this information to facilitate learning and growth.

Enjoy working collaboratively, as well as providing direction/guidance as needed to the co-Teacher on best practices for the classroom.

Set-up and maintain a well-organized, clean, safe and attractive classroom environment conducive to the optimal growth and development of children.

Monitor the health and well-being of toddlers.

Develop a positive relationship with each child and promote the growth of their self-esteem and self-discipline.

Ensure children are supervised at all times to maintain their safety and prevent accidents.

Respond to students' diverse needs by using a variety of instructional strategies and resources.

Assist with meals and snack times as assigned.

Monitor and complete daily charting.

Wash children's hands and faces as needed - especially after potty breaks, play times and meals.

Change diapers and assist children with toileting as needed, including familiarizing children with the "potty chairs" and introducing the potty training process.

Possess excellent verbal, written, organizational and communication skills.

1125/hour to start and upto 15,000/month for transportation
Regular increases after that based on performance.

Saturday School Teacher  Wanted

Start Date: ASAP
We have a fun and exciting Saturday school program that we would like to keep going with the next teacher to join.
We are a small school with a lot of heart and need someone who is the right fit.

The kids will range in age from 4 years old to 10 years old.

Time: 8:30am to 3:30pm Saturday School Time: 9am to 2pm
Ideally, we want someone who can come into our daycare on Friday for the day or a few hours and be able to discuss with the Principal and other teacher about the saturday school curriculum.

We need an EXPERIENCED and RESPONSIBLE teacher who can motivate the kids in a positive way. We will want the teacher to prepare the weekly Saturday curriculum and submit it to the principal 2 weeks in advance. Any supplies that are needed should be prepared by the teacher and will be reimbursed by the school.  We want the day to include but not limited to, crafts, science, math, nature, outdoor organized play, etc a fun day for the kids. The day also includes snack time and lunch time. We don't want to micro-manage you, we need someone who can work unsupervised.  The day goes by fast and a highly organized individual is needed for this job.


Rate of pay: 2 months of Training with current teacher will be paid at 7,000 per day + upto 8,000/month transportation cost.

8,000 per day for 4 months after training has finished.
10,000 per day after that.  Upto 8,000/month for transportation cost

*This position requires a High Level of Japanese Speaking ability.

This position pays 1000/hour.

Duties will include but not limited to, making copies, cutting and general prep for any crafts, preparing tables for lesson room, vacuuming lesson room, etc.
